Mina, Muzdalifah and Arafat are the sacred sites of Hajj just east of Makkah. Pilgrims stay in the tents of Mina from 8 Dhul Hijjah, stand in prayer on the plain of Arafat on the 9th — the heart of Hajj — spend the night under the sky at Muzdalifah, and return to Mina to stone the Jamarat.
Outside the Hajj season these sites are quiet, and every Umrah package includes a guided visit so that pilgrims can see Jabal al-Rahmah and the places they read about in the Hajj rites.
